BUG-A-SALT Review

BUG-A-SALT 2.0 vs BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition

The BUG-A-SALT has been featured many times on this site. As you can tell, it’s an extremely good product line. Both are very well made, well-received, and fantastic bug killers. They both do their jobs efficiently and without much hassle. You’ll be pleased with whatever you buy so long as it fits your circumstances.

With the new 2.0 model and Lawn & Garden Edition, it’s hard to decide which is the better bang for your buck. A lot of viewers are still confused with what device to buy for their home. Both models seem to have positive reviews from many users and they are almost on par with efficiency and durability. Well, I’m here to do an in-depth comparison between the BUG-A-SALT 2.0 and BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition.

2.0 Model

BUG-A-SALT 2.0 vs BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition REVIEW
BUG-A-SALT 2.0 vs BUG-A-SALT Lawn

Starting off with the BUG-A-SALT 2.0, upgraded from the 1.0, it features a few cosmetic changes and some re-engineering from the 1.0. The cosmetic differences range from the safety being reversed, a thicker barrel, and a textured grip on the pump action. The BUG-A-SALT 2.0 holds up from 50 to 80 shots per fill-up of salt. The 2.0 is designed to fire less salt with more power. This allows a much more forgiving magazine for those who are bad with their aim.

The less salt means less spread as well which gives the shot a much more concentrated blast, increasing efficiency and damage to a singular insect, rather than spreading damage equally to multiple insects. The BUG-A-SALT 2.0 is obviously an upgraded version of its previous model. The company decided to create a stronger version of the model since the old one was not really capable of killing most types of pests. They made the second version more powerful and efficient than the first.

Now, the BUG-A-SALT 2.0 is highly capable of exterminating almost all types of unwanted insects in the home, including wasps, ants, bees, termites, flies, and mosquitoes. This device, however, is mainly intended for indoor use since it is not capable of destroying colonies or homes of such insects.

Lawn & Garden Edition

BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition
BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition REVIEW

The BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition uses more salt and more power than the 2.0. This allows an extensive range and even better spread for farther shots. The BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition is exceptionally proficient at long range shots due to its high-power shots. The BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition really is the future in BUG-A-SALT technology. Through advanced studies and research, it’s been concluded this is the most fun way to deal with flies.

But we cannot immediately discredit the 2.0. Surely it still has some perks, right? Right you are. The BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition is more recommended for outdoor use than the 2.0 model. It packs a more powerful burst of salt which means it is capable of destroying mounts, colonies, nests, and other breeding areas and homes of unwanted insects. This model also has a very unique design. It is very user-friendly and can be used by first-time users and professionals as well.

Comparison

The advantage to the 2.0 is having a smaller focus area, and if accurately aimed, can eliminate even the worst of pesky insects. The BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition has a wider spread, allowing much larger area coverage. The 2.0 allows for a much more concentrated shot with less salt, thereby maximizing both damage and efficiency. The 2.0 is also much more accurate with less spread and salt. This is to help benefit from the much less amount of salt used in each shot. In short, the BUG-A-SALT 2.0 is more beneficial in indoor use while the BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition is for outdoor use.

Although there are some users that would recommend getting the BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition since it is more powerful, the 2.0 version still has its advantages over the more powerful model on indoor usage. The 2.0 model creates less mess and is more affordable than the Lawn & Garden Edition. There is no need to get the BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition if you are leaving in an apartment or condominium. If you are still unsure on which one to buy, you should try out the BUG-A-SALT 2.0 first since it is the more affordable option. Besides, you will always need a bug killer inside your home. If the time will come that you will already need a more powerful device, then that is the time you will go for the BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition.

In Conclusion

Overall, it comes down to your personal preference of whether or not you want more salt to clean up. In conclusion, if you don’t mind the extra salt, buy the BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition. If you’d rather have less mess, just go with the 2.0. Both are the best in their respective areas and offer a much-needed boost to the fly-killing department.

Both products come at affordable prices so it should not be a worry if you end up buying the less suitable one. You can pick the better one depending on your situation.

As safe advice, start with the 2.0 model instead. Many users are already satisfied with the efficiency of this model but there are just some who need the stronger model. Most pest control experts use the BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition for their professional services. Only that device is powerful enough to destroy the breeding areas of unwanted insects in your property.

Both of these guns are extremely well balanced and offer a multitude of extremes both fitted for their indicated fields. The Lawn & Garden Edition adds quite the punch if one is to go wasp hunting (although this is not recommended). The 2.0 adds a powerful and more concentrated blast to smaller flies. They’re very much specialized for dealing with pests in their designated areas.

I have reviewed both the BUG-A-SALT 2.0 and BUG-A-SALT Lawn & Garden Edition here on my website.
